Use advice for data set
When using this dataset for Life Cycle Assessment, it is vital to ensure that contributions to secondary pollution are assessed, including emissions from waste treatment facilities. Users should model the use phase behavior, considering the energy and material flows within the remediation process, the construction of the shed, and the subsequent disposal of hazardous waste. The applicability of this data is specific to polluted soil sites that involve similar soil remediation practices, and geographical relevance must be considered due to local environmental regulations impacting waste disposal and treatment.
Technical purpose of product or process
The described industrial process is used for soil remediation at a polluted site through ex-situ chemical oxidation. The process involves constructing an enclosed shed to treat the polluted soil, managing wastewater and exhaust gases arising from the remediation, and ensuring secondary pollution control through the installation and operation of pollution prevention facilities. Additionally, the transportation and use of equipment, and disposal of hazardous waste such as used activated carbon and sludge, are integral parts of the process.

Technology description including background system
Construction enclosed shed with a size of 80m x 32m x 9m. The total area of the enclosed shed is 2560m2, and the thickness of the ground concrete is 20cm. The soil remediation process generates a total of 2481 m3 of wastewater, mainly from foundation pit wastewater and car washing pool wastewater. After being extracted and treated with chemical oxidation and coagulation sedimentation, it is discharged into the municipal sewage pipeline network. The chemical oxidation and coagulation agents are 2.5% sodium persulfate and 1 ‰ PAM+5% PAC, respectively; The restoration project generated a total of 4.19 tons of solid waste, all of which are hazardous waste, mainly activated carbon used for greenhouse exhaust gas adsorption and water treatment sludge, all of which are transported to qualified third-party units for disposal
