Technical purpose of product or process | The alkaline leaching process (Process F) in Hydrometallurgy is specialized for selective extraction of lithium (Li), nickel (Ni), and cobalt (Co) from ternary cathode materials without leaching manganese (Mn) and aluminum (Al). This process is mainly utilized in the recovery and recycling of critical metals from spent lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). Given its alkaline nature, the process enables conservation of alkali usage during the precipitation recovery of products. |
