Due to data limitations, the construction and maintenance of aluminum plants and the production and maintenance of smelting furnaces and other production equipment are not included within the system boundaries. When using this data set, it is advised to supplement it with accurate construction and maintenance emissions data for a comprehensive LCA. Additionally, the emissions data for bauxite mining is an estimation based on environmental emissions data from the ore mining database in Umberto 4.0 software.
