| General comment | High-iron manganese ore is a type of manganese ore that is lean with high iron and low manganese content. It is widely used in steel, chemical, non-ferrous metallurgy, batteries and other fields. Most of the manganese oxide ore in China are of this type and need beneficiation pretreatment before smelting. It is a hard, brittle, silvery-gray metal with a melting point of 1,246 degrees Celsius and a boiling point of 2,061 degrees Celsius. The density of manganese is about 7.43 grams per cubic centimeter. |
