It is available as a film in a variety of colors and formulations for various end uses, and as a resin for specialty coatings. PVF is a tough, transparent plastic resistant to attack by chemicals or by weathering. It is structurally similar to polyvinyl chloride (PVC) except that the chlorine atom has been replaced with a fluorine atom. |
