| General comment | Waste Alumina Catalyst, also known as alumina spent catalyst and RFCC waste, is used in place of bauxite in the manufacturing of Portland clinker. It is derived from bauxite ore and is present in large quantities in the earth's crust. This catalyst is extensively used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, particularly in crude oil processing. It is also used in the preparation of microspherical chromia-alumina KDM-type catalysts for alkane dehydrogenation. The waste from this catalyst contains Pt metal, which has high economic value. |
