Sintering is the process of bonding powder shapes into integrated solids by compaction and then heating to below the melting point of one of the powders to enable thermal fusion to bond particles. It is a heat treatment process where a large quantity of loose aggregate material is subjected to a high temperature and pressure to become a compact solid piece. The heat and pressure administered during the sintering process is slightly less than the material's melting point.
