General comment | Welding steel pipe is a method for joining two pipes together using techniques such as MIG welding and TIG welding. Welded pipe is a tubular product made out of flat plates, known as skelp, that are formed, bent, and prepared for welding. The most popular process for large diameter pipe uses a longitudinal seam weld. Welding steel pipes is a multi-million dollar industry, growing every day to cater to the endless demand for the welded tubings. The pipe can be rotated around the x-axis or y-axis while the welder remains stationary. |
