Waste residue refers to secondary renewable, bio-based, or biogenic materials not intended as the primary outcome of industrial and commercial processes. It includes a variety of materials such as paper/cardboard, plastics, glass, aluminum, batteries, electronics, food, lawn materials, used oil, household hazardous waste, tires, metal, and miscellaneous items. Waste residue encompasses different types of waste like municipal solid waste, hazardous waste, industrial non-hazardous waste, agricultural and animal waste, medical waste, radioactive waste, construction and demolition debris, extraction and mining waste, oil and gas production waste, fossil fuel combustion waste, and sewage sludge.
