| General comment | Coke breeze is a fine coke separated by screening from the larger sizes before or after crushing. It is a common backfill material used in cathodic protection and is a type 1 carbonaceous backfill material. It has low resistivity and low ash content. It can be treated by the addition of 10% commercial grade slaked lime. It is used as fuel in the iron ore sintering processes and can be used in both conventional and deep anode grounded to lower the resistance. |
