It's found in disposable cups, appliance boxes, and takeout containers. Polystyrene foam is a common type of plastic known for its lightweight durability and ability to insulate. In 2018, 140 thousand tons of polystyrene bags, sacks, wraps, and 330 thousand tons of other packaging were generated.
