General comment | Laminated glass is a type of safety glass consisting of two or more layers of glass with one or more thin polymer interlayers between them which prevent the glass from breaking into large sharp pieces. It is a strong barrier against forced entry. The interlayer keeps glass in place in the event that the glass is broken and it's resistant to glasscutters. It's stronger, more durable, more break-resistant, and more heat-resistant than other types of glass, such as float glass or annealed glass. |
