It is also used as a catalyst for the synthesis of 1-substituted-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazoles and as an important raw material for the synthesis of lithium ion battery electrolyte, specifically Lithium bis(trifluoromethyl) sulfonimide. The compound is known to initiate ring-opening polymerization of octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane. |
