General comment | The large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) is a marine fish that lives in the northwestern Pacific, generally in temperate nearshore seas and estuaries. It is an economically important species in Northeast Asia, including China, Korea, and Japan. It is also known by other names such as Redlip Croaker, Little Yellow Croaker, Small Yellow Croaker, Yellow Corvina or Larimichthys polyactis. It is high in protein and low in carbohydrates, containing significant amounts of B6 and B12 vitamins and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. |
