General comment | Sheepskin is the hide of a sheep, sometimes also called lambskin. Unlike common leather, sheepskin is tanned with the fleece intact, as in a pelt. It is the natural hide of a sheep or lamb with the wool still intact. It is obtained through a tanning process that preserves both the wool and the leather. The wool provides softness and insulation, while the leather adds durability and strength to the material. Sheepskin is very durable and can last for years with proper care. |
