General comment | An electrical junction box, also known as a jbox, is an enclosure housing electrical connections. It protects the electrical connections from the weather and people from accidental electric shocks. Junction boxes are metal or plastic enclosures used as housings for wiring connections. The connections within are called branch circuits and usually represent the end of a conduit run. They make wire access easy and serve as the communal meeting spot for electrical wires, where they connect before moving on. |
