General comment | Portland cement clinker is a solid material produced in the manufacturing of Portland cement as an intermediate product. It is composed predominantly of compounds formed from calcium, silicon, aluminium, and iron, which, when mixed with water, form cement. The clinker has been processed to meet industry standards for cement production and is usually ground to a fine dust to make cement. It is a key ingredient in the production of Portland cement and is usually available 'to consumer' or 'at plant'. Its usage also includes serving as a binder in many cement products. |
