General comment | Chloroprene Rubber (CR), also known as neoprene, is a soft, durable, waterproof synthetic rubber produced by the polymerization of chloroprene. It offers excellent physical and mechanical properties, including high resistance to chemicals, oxidation, sunlight, heat, and flame. It is used in a wide variety of consumer goods and industrial applications, including footwear, gloves, athletic gear, bags, bandages, fabrics, adhesives, caulks, wire and cable coatings, hoses, seals, gaskets, and more. It has a usual hardness range of 50-90 Shore A and is suited for temperatures between -65° F. |
