General comment | Caulking compounds are flexible sealing compounds used to close up gaps in buildings and other structures against water, air, dust, insects, or as a component in firestopping. It is used for sealing joints or preventing leakage in buildings and other structures where normal structural movement may occur. Caulk is a compound that is either based on silicone or acrylic latex that is used to fill gaps less than 1/8" at joints, cracks, depressions, and small openings. |
