Use advice for data set Users of this data set should incorporate the information provided into Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to accurately model the environmental impacts associated with this cement production process. Special attention should be paid to the collaborative disposal methodology used in this process, as well as the usage of alternative raw materials and fuels from waste. The data set does not contain emissions from minor waste streams such as a very small amount of exhaust gas, wastewater, or solid waste. Data users must ensure that the transport of hazardous waste over 50 km and the proximity of the mining operation at 1.5 km distance to the factory are adequately reflected in the system boundaries and transport-related emissions in their LCA models.
Technical purpose of product or process The modern dry process production line at the cement plant is designed for the production of cement and clinker with a scale of 4000t/d, yielding 1.9 million tons of cement and 1.5 million tons of clinker annually. This data set represents a process including ex-situ soil remediation and the utilization of waste materials such as polluted soil, digested sludge, and waste oil sludge as alternative raw materials and fuels in the clinker calcination process. The purpose is to conserve traditional raw materials like limestone and coal. The process incorporates advanced RSP level five kiln external decomposition technology and caters to the collaborative disposal of cement kilns during the operation phase, with a particular focus on the clinker calcination stage, where CO2, NOx, and SO2 emissions occur.

General comment on data set The cement plant has a modern dry process production line with a scale of 4000t/d, producing 1.9 million tons of cement and 1.5 million tons of clinker annually. The company's own mining area is 0.448km2, and the annual production capacity of limestone is 2 million tons. The production process adopts advanced RSP level five kiln external decomposition technology. Hazardous waste is transported by vehicles, equipped with hazardous goods special vehicles, and the driving route is a truck dedicated line. The transportation distance from the mine to the factory area is about 1.5km, The transportation distance of waste is about 50km. The production process of conventional cement mainly includes stages such as the extraction and transportation of raw and auxiliary materials, raw material preparation, coal powder preparation, clinker calcination, and cement grinding. After adding waste disposal links, waste (polluted soil, digested sludge, waste oil sludge, etc.) can be used as alternative raw materials and fuels to save raw materials such as limestone and coal. Collaborative disposal of cement kilns, operation phase, clinker calcination process, mainly involves material preheating and decomposition, as well as calcination and decomposition process in rotary kilns, accompanied by emissions of CO2 and other waste gases.
