Use advice for data set
Before utilizing this dataset, it is imperative to note that only the emissions related to the exhaust from the transportation vehicles are considered. The dataset does not include road damage, losses of feed during transport, or other service costs like tolls and maintenance. Therefore, for a complete environmental impact analysis, study users may need additional data to assess the entire impact of the feed transportation stage, especially if the complete environmental profile of dairy products or livestock and poultry breeding processes is desired. Users should aim to integrate this data with broader LCA datasets to ensure comprehensive impact assessments.
Technical purpose of product or process
The dataset represents an industrial process specific to the transportation stage of feed for livestock and poultry breeding, particularly focusing on the dairy sector for retail investors. This process assesses environmental impacts related to exhaust emissions from vehicles during road transportation of animal feed. It is relevant for lifecycle assessments of dairy products, where the transportation environmental burdens need to be accounted for. This information can be applied in environmental impact assessments for dairy farms, feed supply chain management, or in broader studies on agricultural logistics and sustainability.

Hierarchy level
|
The transportation stage mainly considers the transportation of feed, and the transportation mode is mainly road transportation. The damage caused to the surrounding environment of the road during the transportation process, the feed loss generated during the transportation process and other service costs (such as: high-speed fees, refueling fees, repair costs, etc.) are not considered, and only the exhaust emission during the vehicle transportation process is considered.

Technology description including background system
In this paper, the life cycle of livestock and poultry farming is divided into six stages: feed crop planting, feed processing, livestock and poultry raising, manure treatment, slaughter and transportation. The specific life cycle process of livestock and poultry breeding is shown in Figure 2-1. Due to the lack of some data and the limitations of basic conditions, the production, transportation and use of pesticides, mulch and feed additives have not been analyzed, and the environmental impact caused by other related infrastructure construction, transport production and labor costs is no longer considered.
