Use advice for data set
| When using this dataset for Life Cycle Assessment, users should consider its technospheric boundary that excludes negligible amounts of exhaust gas, wastewater, or solid waste for this particular cement grinding process. It is critical to note the substitution of raw materials and fuels with waste materials, which should be accounted for in the resource and energy consumption calculations. The transportation of hazardous waste and the small environmental footprint from the mine to the plant should also be considered. Methodological consistency with LCA standards, such as ISO 14044, should be maintained in modeling the use phase behavior and the technological applicability of this dataset. |
Technical purpose of product or process
| This dataset describes a cement plant's process that involves soil remediation and collaborative disposal using a cement kiln during the operational phase, which includes cement grinding. The process utilizes a modern dry method production line with a capacity of 4000t/d for cement manufacturing, capable of producing 1.9 million tons of cement and 1.5 million tons of clinker annually. Waste materials such as polluted soil, digested sludge, and waste oil sludge are utilized as alternative raw materials or fuels in this process, conserving natural resources like limestone and coal. The cement grinding process, a component of this system, consists of the crushing, mixing, and grinding of limestone and gypsum to produce cement. |

|
| The cement plant has a modern dry process production line with a scale of 4000t/d, producing 1.9 million tons of cement and 1.5 million tons of clinker annually. The company's own mining area is 0.448km2, and the annual production capacity of limestone is 2 million tons. The production process adopts advanced RSP level five kiln external decomposition technology. Hazardous waste is transported by vehicles, equipped with hazardous goods special vehicles, and the driving route is a truck dedicated line. The transportation distance from the mine to the factory area is about 1.5km, The transportation distance of waste is about 50km. The production process of conventional cement mainly includes stages such as the extraction and transportation of raw and auxiliary materials, raw material preparation, coal powder preparation, clinker calcination, and cement grinding. After adding waste disposal links, waste (polluted soil, digested sludge, waste oil sludge, etc.) can be used as alternative raw materials and fuels to save raw materials such as limestone and coal. Collaborative disposal of cement kilns, operation phase, cement grinding process, mainly including crushing, mixing of limestone and gypsum, and cement grinding process. |
