Use advice for data set Users of this dataset should apply it with caution, ensuring that the geological parameters and regional characteristics specific to the East Sichuan Basin are considered when modeling reservoir potentials and designing exploration strategies. It is crucial to take the regional geology, such as the fault-related folds and the layout of anticlines, into account when using the data. Additionally, the identified priority targets for exploration, namely the fourth member of the Dengying Formation followed by the Shilongdong Formation and the second member of the Dengying Formation, should guide the use of this data set in exploration endeavors.
Technical purpose of product or process The seismic and geological data for the stratigraphic exploration process pertain to the identification of reservoir-forming conditions and potential exploration areas in the East Sichuan Basin. This data is crucial for organizations involved in natural gas exploration, particularly those that specialize in locating and characterizing subsalt hydrocarbon reservoirs. The analysis of specific geologic formations (like the Dengying Formation and Shilongdong Formation) for their capacity to act as source rocks, reservoir rocks, or regional caps, informs decisions on drilling locations and exploration strategies in the quest for deep-salt Lower Sinian-Cambrian natural gas deposits.

General comment on data set Based on the detailed interpretation of seismic data in the range of 6 × 104 km ~ 2 in the central and eastern Sichuan Basin, the regional distribution characteristics of the Middle and Lower Cambrian gypsum salt rocks in the eastern Sichuan Basin are revealed. Fault-related folds are developed above gypsum salt rocks, while 6-7 rows of NNE and NE-trending gentle anticlines are mainly distributed below gypsum salt rocks.

Data selection and combination principles Source rocks of Doushantuo Formation of Sinian, the third member of Dengying Formation of Sinian and Shuijingtuo Formation of Dominant Cambrian; The second and fourth members of Dengying Formation of Sinian and the third group of weathering crust karst reservoirs and grain beach reservoirs of Shilongdong Formation of Cambrian; Regional cap of gypsum salt and shale of middle and lower Cambrian in Shuijingtuo Formation. The primary target of deep subsalt exploration in East Sichuan Basin should be the fourth member of Dengying Formation, followed by Shilongdong Formation and the second member of Dengying Formation
