Use advice for data set When utilizing this LCA data for 42.5MPa Portland cement, take into account that the functional unit is 1kg of cement. Ensure to include all processes from raw material pretreatment to cement homogenization as defined within the in-plant production process. Consider both energy consumption (electricity and coal) and pollutant emissions (particulate matter, SO2, NOx, CO2, etc.) within the factory boundaries. External resource inputs and pollution outputs should also be included as part of the surrounding environmental scope. This dataset is not intended for assessments of downstream use phases or end-of-life scenarios and does not account for potential recycling or recovery activities.
Technical purpose of product or process The 42.5MPa Portland cement manufactured through the wet process is primarily intended for construction applications where moderate to high strength concrete is required. It is suitable for residential and commercial construction, bridges, pavements, and precast concrete products.

Mathematical model
Model description The study used 1kg of 42.5 grade Portland cement as the functional unit for evaluation. The scope of evaluation is defined as the in-plant production process of cement products and its surrounding environment. Among them, the in-plant production process refers to the entire production process in which raw materials undergo pretreatment, raw meal grinding, calcination, clinker mill and cement homogenization in sequence and finally become cement products. The surrounding environment of the cement production process refers to the input of external resources and energy and the emission of pollutants.
