Use advice for data set
When using this LCA data set for evaluating the environmental impact of cement production where municipal sludge is incorporated, users should pay close attention to the specific treatment steps that the sludge undergoes to meet the industry standards for use in cement manufacturing. Any recycling or energy recovery that is associated with the dry sludge should be accounted for accordingly. Also, methodological decisions related to the allocation of environmental burdens between the treatment/disposal of sludge and its use as a material in cement production should be carefully considered based on the goals of the study.

General comment
The main data sources used in our study are as follows: 1) Energy consumption and material inputs are obtained from investigations in Tai Lake Watershed; 2) The energy use emission factor is obtained from our own calculation, IPCC, and the literature.3) The fugitive emissions during landfilling, incineration, and composting are mainly determined by the model given in the other study as well as by the IPCC factors (2006), except for the CH4 emission in landfilling, which is obtained from study.4) Data from theoretical calculations (see Incineration section).

Technical purpose
The provided LCA data describes the treatment and disposal process of municipal sludge specifically within the Tai Lake Watershed area. Dry sludge, as processed in this data set, is used as a component in cement manufacturing. The implication is that the sludge is likely treated to render it suitable for utilization in the cement production process as an alternative raw material or energy source.
