Use advice for data set
Users of this data set should note that environmental impacts from the extraction of limestone and gypsum are sourced from the China Life Cycle Reference Database (CLCD). However, due to the lack of specific data for clay and iron ore extraction and considering their lesser quantities, limestone mining emission data are used as estimations. When using this LCA data, attention should be given to the system boundary which consists only of cement production, the extraction and transportation of raw materials, and the production of electricity. The use and end-of-life processing of cement is excluded. The transportation and preparation phases of auxiliary materials such as fly ash are included, but their production stages are omitted from the analysis. For industrial waste, only the transportation and preparation process are considered, with the environmental impacts caused by the production of these materials being allocated to the original producer. The functional unit for the life cycle model is set as 1 ton of cement.

Technical purpose
The data set describes the cement production process using a new dry pre-decalciner kiln with a capacity of 4000 tons per day, suitable for the manufacturing of portland fly-ash cement. This technology is identified as a progressive and eco-friendly technique that aligns with the growth trajectory of China's cement industry. It utilizes suspension preheating and pre-decomposition to meet high productivity needs while being more environmentally responsible. The primary usage of the produced cement is large-scale construction and infrastructure development, where portland fly-ash cement offers the desired durability and strength.
