Use advice for data set
When using this data set for Life Cycle Assessment, carefully consider the scope and geographical relevance of your assessment. Include this data as part of the inventory analysis phase when evaluating the environmental impact of sludge treatment processes in the Tai Lake watershed area. Ensure that the functional unit of the study is consistent with the data set - one dry ton of sludge. Adaptations may be necessary if the waste characteristics or regulatory conditions differ from those in the Tai Lake area.
Data set use approval
General comment
The main data sources used in our study are as follows: 1) Energy consumption and material inputs are obtained from investigations in Tai Lake Watershed; 2) The energy use emission factor is obtained from our own calculation, IPCC, and the literature.3) The fugitive emissions during landfilling, incineration, and composting are mainly determined by the model given in the other study as well as by the IPCC factors (2006), except for the CH4 emission in landfilling, which is obtained from study.4) Data from theoretical calculations (see Incineration section).

Technical purpose
This municipal sludge treatment and disposal data set is applicable to the mono-incineration process of dry sludge within the Tai Lake Watershed area. It is intended for use in scenarios where environmental impacts, specifically greenhouse gas emissions, of sludge treatment processes are evaluated. This data can be particularly relevant for infrastructure planning, waste management policy development, and assessment of carbon footprint in waste treatment facilities.
